| How to Carry on a Seminar | You probably know that conducting a seminar is a great possibility to express your thoughts or make new technologies presentation. But it is useful to know some principles of your seminar conducting. It is very important not only for the presenter of the seminar but for also attendee. You should prepare carefully your speech and presentation materials for your seminar to be successful. And here are presented some tips on how you can do it.
● You should do some research work on your subject. Despite you are already have some knowledge of a topic of a seminar, you need to refer to at least 2 different books. This also helps you to consider ideas you have not even thought about.
● Prepare you presentation Presentations help the audience to realize the implicit points that the speaker is to say. A good presentation should have an introduction and a conclusion. In introduction the speaker should present a short summary of the topic of the seminar. It important for the speaker to establish the time that the seminar will take and create the presentation slides in accordance to it. As a rule it is approximately 2-3 minutes per slide if the speaker is going to skim through the slides quickly and nearly 5 minutes per slide if the speaker is going to explain the slides with small examples. Remember that the look of the presentation is also of a great importance. A presentation should not be too garish as extreme text effects may divert from the significance of the speaker’s words. But at the same time you should try to avoid ordinary presentations as it may be perceived as if the presenter is not ready for the seminar in a proper way. Try to use pictures or graphs to substitute text where possible. Notice that the way the text is arranged is also important. But anyway try to use minimum of text and certain that if the text is used it is a notion but not an explanation of this notion. Besides it is very useful to include in your presentation examples and case points as these make your presentation more interesting and easier to perceive and remember.
